Which Foods Cause Eczema?

Eczema is a skin disorder in which the suffering patient experiences dry, red, scaly rashes accompanied by discharge which can cause a lot of pain and itching. Eczema can appear on any part of your body including, palms, fingers, toes, knees, scalp, elbows and head. Anyone can suffer from eczema including men, women, children, old people and even babies.

It is often believed that there are some food products that cause Eczema. So, now let us discuss about some of these food products.

1.Acidic Fruits
It is believed that acidic fruits like blueberries, currants, plums, prune, canned fruits, glazed fruits and cranberries cause Eczema. If a person is suffering from Eczema then they should avoid these fruits as much as possible.

2.Dairy products
Diary products like butter, cheese, milk, whip cream; cream cheese should be avoided to a much greater extent by eczema patients, because the protein in milk known as casein has been the root cause of eczema in a large number of people who suffer from this disease. Casein also causes various irritating reactions in the skin. Eczema can also occur due to lactose which causes all sorts of symptoms like as bloating, nausea and flatulence.

3.Yeast products
Some people who suffer from Eczema might appear to have this disease due to yeast products. From a research it has been found out that many people, who have this skin disorder due to yeast infection, may also suffer from abdominal bloating and candida infections.

4.Sea food
If you have eczema then you should strictly avoid sea food like fish, crabs, lobsters, oysters, scaly fish, mussels, clams and prawns because these food items would make your condition even worse.

5.Gluten
A large percentage of people who have Eczema suffer from this disorder due to Gluten. Gluten is found is all the baked products like pasta, bread, pizzas, oats and cereal. These food items are usually difficult to digest that is why they cause many skin reactions like dermatitis, weak immunity, eczema and even mouth ulcers.

6.Wheat
Although wheat is said to be very rich in fiber still wheat containing food items like white bread, wheat rolls, muffins, crackers and pretzels should be avoided at all costs because they are harmful for your skin if you are suffering from eczema.

7.Nuts and eggs
Avoid eating all the food items which contain eggs like cakes, pastries and other baked products. In order to improve your condition you should even stop eating nuts like almonds, ground nuts, peanuts, hazelnuts, cashews and pistachios.
